How it got started

Carmex was founded by Alfred Woelbing, the best man worked for years as a shopkeeper in a department store but jumped into the demand for lip care. In the 1930s, many people suffered from cold sores, but there was no cure for this. Alfred knew this could be done differently and then developed a medicinal lip balm from his kitchen. The years went by and the sales got better and better and that's where Carmex came from!
