Cleaning your makeup brushes:

Cleaning your makeup brushes is important to keep your skin healthy and extend the life of your brushes. We recommend thoroughly cleaning your brushes at least once a week. This prevents bacteria from building up and contaminating your skin.

Step 1. Clean your brush

Hold your brush under lukewarm running water. Make sure no water gets into the ferrule, as this could damage the glue holding the bristles. Apply cleanser to your palm or to a Brush Cleansing Mat and gently swirl the bristles in circular motions. You can also clean the brush using the Brush & Sponge Cleansing Soap & Pad.

Step 2. Rinse thoroughly

Rinse the brush under lukewarm water until all cleanser is removed and the water runs clear. Gently squeeze out excess water with your fingers.

Step 3. Reshape the brush

Gently reshape the bristles back into their original form. Then slide a Brush Protector over the brush, starting from the handle toward the bristles to help retain the shape.

Step 4. Let it dry

Lay the brush flat on a clean towel to dry. Preferably at a slight angle with the bristles pointing downward by placing a rolled towel under the handle.

Step 5. Disinfect

If desired, you can lightly mist the brush with a Brush Cleanser for extra hygiene.

How to use:

Blush:

• First apply your foundation and set it with powder.
• Dab your brush into the blush and gently tap off any excess product to avoid over-applying.
• Apply blush to the apples of your cheeks. For a lifted look, sweep it upward toward your temples.
• Blend the blush well to soften any harsh lines and create a natural finish.

Bronzer:

• Start by applying foundation to create an even base for your bronzer.
• Set with powder.
• For a natural sunkissed look, apply bronzer to areas where the sun would naturally hit your face: in a 3-shape from forehead to cheekbones to jawline.
• Blend the bronzer for a seamless, bronzed finish.

Highlighter:

• Pick up a small amount of highlighter with your brush and tap off the excess.
• Apply the highlighter with a soft motion to the tops of your cheekbones, the tip of your chin, the bridge of your nose and the tip of your nose.
• Start with a light layer and build up the intensity by adding more if needed.
