Highlighter make-up does something foundation cannot: it brings depth back once your skin has been evened out. Where bronzer and contour lay down shadow, a highlighter lays down light, and together they decide how soft or how sharp your face looks. How do you apply highlighter?
Highlighter is the last step of your base, after foundation, concealer and powder. Find the highest point of your cheekbone, smile for a second to see where the light falls, and work from there diagonally up towards your temple. For powder you use a small, tapered highlighter brush; a cream, stick or liquid formula you blend with your fingertips or a damp sponge. Start with very little product: taking it back is harder than adding more.
