Cleaning your makeup brushes:

Cleaning your makeup brushes is important to keep your skin healthy and to extend the life of your brushes. We recommend cleaning your brushes thoroughly at least once a week to prevent bacteria build-up that could harm your skin.

Step 1. Clean your brush

Hold your brush under lukewarm running water. Make sure no water gets into the ferrule, as moisture can damage the glue holding the bristles. Apply cleanser to your palm or a brush cleansing mat and gently swirl the bristles in the cleanser.

Step 2. Rinse the brush thoroughly

Rinse the brush under lukewarm water until all cleanser is removed and the water runs clear. Gently squeeze out excess water with your fingers.

Step 3. Reshape the brush

Gently reshape the bristles to their original form. Then slide a brush protector over the brush from the handle toward the bristles to maintain the shape.

Step 4. Let the brush dry

Lay the brush on a clean towel to dry. Preferably place it at an angle with the bristles pointing downward by rolling up a towel under the handle.

Step 5. Disinfect

If desired, lightly mist the brush with brush cleanser to disinfect.

• Apply an eyeshadow base and blend it out, then set with setting powder.

• Pick up a dark pigment with the UP40 and apply it in your crease, blending it in. Make sure to stay in the crease and not go too low.
• Blend upward for a natural effect.
• Add a bit of dark eyeshadow to the outer corner and blend it in as well.
