Cleaning your makeup brushes:
Cleaning your makeup brushes is important to keep your skin healthy and extend the life of your brushes. We therefore recommend thoroughly cleaning your makeup brushes regularly, at least once a week. This prevents bacteria from accumulating, which can contaminate your skin.
Step 1. Clean your brush
Hold your brush under running lukewarm water. Make sure no water gets into the ferrule, as moisture can damage the glue layer of the bristles. Apply cleanser to your palm or to a brush cleansing mat and gently rub the brush bristles into the cleanser with circular motions.
Step 2. Rinse the brush well
Rinse the brush well under lukewarm water until all the cleanser has been removed and the water runs clear again. Gently squeeze the excess water out of the brush with your fingers.
Step 3. Reshape the brush
Carefully reshape the bristles to their original form. Then, slide a brush protector over the brush, starting from the handle and sliding it towards the bristles to prevent the bristles from losing their shape.
Step 4. Let the brush dry
Lay the brush on a clean towel to dry. Preferably, lay the brushes at an angle with the bristles facing down, for example, by placing a rolled-up towel under the handle.
Step 5. Disinfect
If desired, you can disinfect your brush by lightly spraying it with brush cleanser.
