Hair Dye
Here you will find semi-permanent hair dye from Crazy Color, Manic Panic and Directions: ready-to-use colours you apply without a developer or peroxide. They sit on the outside of your hair and fade a little with every wash, so you are never stuck with them for years. Alongside them you will find hair colour spray, hair mascara, root cover-up powder and colour depositing masks for colour that can come out the same day.
Hair dye at Boozyshop: colour you apply yourself
Semi-permanent, temporary or permanent: what is the difference?
- Semi-permanent attaches to the outside of your hair, does not cover what is underneath, and fades gradually as you wash. That is most of this page.
- Temporary means colour spray, hair mascara and root powder. They sit on top of your hair and wash out in one go.
- Permanent is mixed with a developer and grows out. We do not sell it.
How do you apply semi-permanent hair dye?
- Wash your hair and skip the conditioner, so the colour grips better.
- Let your hair dry or blow dry it. Colour goes deeper on dry hair.
- Put on gloves and spread the dye evenly with a brush or with your hands.
- Leave it in for the time stated on the packaging.
- Rinse with cold water until the water runs clear, and skip the shampoo this time.
Work on a towel that is allowed to stain and keep the dye off your scalp. These colours transfer.
Which colour will show on my hair?
Semi-permanent dye does not cover, it lays colour over what is already there. On light or bleached hair a colour comes out the way it looks on the packaging. On dark hair you will mainly see a glow in the sunlight, especially with reds and purples. If you want a pastel or a bright shade, your hair needs to be light enough first. If your hair dries out easily, have a look at hair masks as well.
Colour for one night
For carnival, a festival or Halloween you do not need to dye at all. A hair colour spray or hair mascara lays colour on your hair that washes out in one go. Roots showing? Root cover-up powder hides them until your next wash.
Getting the colour out again
Done with your colour? At hair dye remover you will find a colour remover and clarifying shampoos that make the colour fade faster.
Caring for coloured hair
Colour lasts longer if you wash your hair less often and with cooler water. A conditioner keeps your hair soft and a hair oil brings the shine back. Sulphate free shampoo rinses out less colour than regular shampoo.
