What is an eyeshadow stick?
Inside the stick is a creamy formula related to cream eyeshadow, only in a twist-up or push-up barrel. You don't need an applicator, because the tip of the stick is the applicator. Most sticks set after you apply them and are waterproof or smudgeproof afterwards, so they stay put all day. The tip decides what you can do with it: a thick, round tip is for your whole lid, a narrower tip also works as an eyeliner or on your lower lash line.

How to apply an eyeshadow stick
Speed is the whole point here, so work one eye at a time:
- Draw the colour on in two or three strokes, from your lash line upwards.
- Blend straight away with your fingertip or a small eyeshadow brush, because the formula sets within half a minute.
- Want depth? Put a dark stick in your outer corner and blend the transition away.
- Use the same stick along your lower lash line to finish your look off.
- Got an oily lid? Set an eyeshadow primer underneath or dust powder over the top.
