Do's and Don'ts : Using SPF

'Protect your skin from the sun, even when the sun isn't shining' this is the best tip we can give you. But what do's and don'ts are there when using SPF?

DO

Use plenty of sunscreens, and don't forget your feet, hands, ears, lips, and neck. These are often overlooked places. Repeat applying your sunscreen every two hours, especially if you've been swimming in between.

DON'T

The sun is shining, you want to apply sunscreen and use the bottle you used last year. Do not! Your sunburn is probably past its expiration date. It's super important with SPF to look at the expiration date. A sunscreen or other SPF that has expired is no longer protected against the sun.

DO

Do not look at the price of the sunscreen, it does not apply: the more expensive the better. Look closely at the sunscreens and ingredients rather than the brand or price. Looking for good and budget proof SPF products? Then click here.

DON'T

Nowadays there are quite a few makeup products on the market with an SPF in them, but this will not protect your face enough in the sun. In addition, always use a day cream or sunscreen with a high SPF to properly protect your skin.

DO

Are you not such a sun worshipper? Do you like to lie under the parasol in the shade? Do not forget to apply sunscreen, because the sun can also be strong in the shade.

DON'T

Don't assume that sunscreen is only necessary if you have fair skin. Everyone needs protection, regardless of your skin type.

DO

Do not wait until you are on the beach with greasing, lubricate yourself beforehand so that the cream can soak into the skin for at least 15 minutes. This will provide the best protection.
